What is HEIC and why convert?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) has been the iPhone default since iOS 11 (2017). It saves photos at roughly half the size of JPG at the same quality, but Windows, older Android, and many websites can't open it. Converting to JPG ensures universal compatibility (at ~2× the size). PNG is lossless and even larger. This tool decodes HEIC in your browser using the heic2any library.

Are my photos uploaded?

Is EXIF metadata preserved?
Some (capture time, camera) is preserved, some may be lost. For precise metadata, keep the original.
